Hazardous Atmosphere

Certain equipment are required to perform reliably under hazardous conditions such as high pressure or explosive environments. As such, to ensure that  products and devices be certified for use in the said conditions, rigorous testing within simulated hazardous environments is necessary.

ACE Bureau’s appointed laboratories provide notified body services for module applications to the ATEX Directive for electrical and mechanical apparatus, protection systems, components, safety control and regulation devices. This is done to ensure that the various prerequisite criteria are met prior to the testing of your equipment within an environment with a potentially explosive atmosphere.

Under our scope of services, we provide both mandatory and voluntary certifications for electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment. With specially designed bunkers and capability in the simulation of deep sea conditions, our appointed laboratories are accredited by COFRAC Laboratory Section testing N° 1-0311 to test equipment used in hazardous atmospheres. We are well positioned to provide you with explosion testing and/or waterproofness testing up to a depth of up to 400 metres.
